Tailwind CSS
Utility classes so styling stays next to the markup.

Magic Ship is one shop in Vancouver, BC, working remotely with clients worldwide. We are not a partner, reseller, or certified vendor of Tailwind Labs - we just build with this.
What Tailwind CSS is
Tailwind is a utility-first CSS framework: styles are applied through single-purpose class names and the build emits only the classes actually used. Design tokens - colours, spacing, type scale - are configured once and referenced everywhere.
How we use it
We use it because handovers go better when there is no private naming convention to learn: a component's styling is visible where the component is. Brand tokens are defined once, so a colour change is one edit rather than a search. Anything repeated three times becomes a component instead of a copied class string.
Where it is the wrong choice
Long class strings make dense markup harder to read, and a team with an existing design system in plain CSS or CSS modules should not be asked to switch mid-project. It also does nothing for accessibility, which still has to be done deliberately.
